Located in Mayfield approx. 0.1 miles west of the Broadalbin town line on Broadalbin's North Main Street Extension. (Also known as Broadalbin Cemetery Road). The proper name for this cemetery is Broadalbin-Mayfield Rural Cemetery. Sections are numbered from 1 on the right side faced from the road through 7 at the far left, with 8 also tucked in on the left and 9 at the far right rear.

Pastor of the Dutch Reformed Church of Vails Mills from 1814 to 1822. In 1822 due to a bitter controversy in the parent church he withdrew with part of his flock and formed the "True Reformed Denomination" church in Munsonville where he preached until his death in 1846. In the mean time the Vails Mills church had become Presbyterian - the First Presbyterian Church of Broadalbin.

Co.E 4th NY Hvy Artillery Sylvester's History of Saratoga County states he enlisted August 5 1862 as private Co. E 4th NY Heavy Artillery. Served with the regiment participating in several battles. Discharged June 10 1865. In 1878 lived in Edinburgh. The 1865 Edinburgh Town Civil War records state he was born In Troy NY November 20 1844 son of Reubin and Harriet Priest. An Edinburgh farmerhe enlisted at Edinburgh for 3 years.

Probably the George R. Priest listed by Sylvester in History of Saratoga County as enlisted Aug. 12 1862 as private 4th NY Heavy Artillery. Discharged for disability in 1863. In 1878 lived in Gloversville. The 1865 Edinburgh Town Civil War records add that he was son of Reubin and Harriet Priest andenlisted at Edinburgh for 3 years. He was a farmer.
