This old cemetery was disturbed in the 1930's for roadwork. It was previously thought that there were no stones or markers left. However, site visitor Garry Barney has sent in the following info:
Tomantown Cemetery, located on the west side of the Tomantown to Stony Creek road, the same place disturbed in the 1930s, still contains two graves and one headstone.
Undisturbed grave of Bennet W. Toman, born 1830, died 26 Feb 1864, but no headstone.
Undisturbed grave of Hannah M. Rhodes, his wife, born 28 Aug 1835, died 29 Nov 1862, but no headstone.
Headstone of Eistille Blowers, died 31 Oct 1882 age 4 yrs 6 mo, but no grave.
