Recorded in the Clerk’s office of the County of Montgomery in Book No. 1 of Church Corporations, page 69, the 24th March, 1823. Henry F. Yates, Clerk. (Corporation of the 1st. Presbyterian Society).

Ephratah Reformed Dutch Church organized July 2, 1832.
Ephratah Reformed Dutch Church incorporated Apr. 14, 1851.

The Rev. Caleb Knight arrived with his family to commence his labors among us on June 18, 1824. On 20th preached at Lassellsville.
Copy of the subscription papers & the subscribers with the sum -- signed by:
We the subscribers promise to pay the sum or sums set to our names to the Trustees of the first Presbyterian Church & Society of Palatine for the purpose of hiring the Rev. Caleb Knight to preach among us for three quarters of the time for one year beginning on his return from home probably in the month of June next -- The one half of said sum to be paid by the first day of January next & the remaining at the end of the year from the beginning -- Palatine May 3, 1824.
