Rejoicing with comrades of our other wars, in the stability of our government, and the happiness of our people, under the favor and blessing of Almighty God, we rest from the great work that we did in reclaiming our brothers of the southland from their error of secession and restoring the flag to its sovereign places at the head of a united people, which grows in magnitude and importance as the years multiply, "and we," as we so rapidly are approaching the last roll call, are justified in feeling that the whole people approve and applaud the heroic achievements of the Boys in Blue of the greatest of Civil Wars.

Respectfully submitted,

MAJOR NICHOLAS J. DeGRAFF
Secretary and treasurer.
