Probably the Chauncey Trevett listed as chair maker in 1911. * Also married to Mary Twist. Last child of Henry Tillitson Trevett. Married Leafie Ann Rhodes in Northville. They had 3 children - Harold Trevett (husband of Louisa Ellen Chetwynd) Newton Trevett and Ralph Trevett. One report claims that Chauncey married Mary Twist. No mention of children. Chauncey managed Jonathan Trevett's chair factory on Hans Creek near Kurt Ahren's place. (Jonathan lived in Gloversville). Chauncey later took down the chair factory at Hans Creek and Fayville Road and went to Broadalbin to manage Peter's chair factory there (which Peter had moved from Union Mills). Chauncey developed cancer and killed |

The 1855 census listed E.S. Trevett as chair manufacturer making 3000 chairs a year. He had a factory on Frenchman's Creek at Fayville Road. He employed 2 men and used water power. He was deacon of the Providence Baptist Church in 1878. His wife Elizabeth Chapman was sister to Abigail Chapman who married Henry Tillitson Trevett. The 1866 Providence map shows E.S. Trevett living in a house on the north-east corner of Fishhouse Road and Crannell Road. Listed as farmer in the 1850 census husband of Elizabeth |

Possibly the Edward Trevett chairmaker listed in the 1892 census. Fourth son of Henry Tillitson Trevett. Died in a train wreck (Mountain Lake Train Wreck) in 1902. He and his brother were at the Mountain Lake station. The trolley was extremely crowded and there was only room for one to board so Edward boarded and his brother stayed. On the trip into the valley the trolley jumped the tracks and many were killed including Edward. The question of birth year. The gravestone gives 1853 but family history reports 1857. The 1871 Saratoga County business report lists Edward F. (?) Trivett of West Providence as farmer of 86 acres. |
