This cemetery was donated to the site by Hector Allen, Oppenheim Historian.  He and his wife recorded this cemetery in August 1989, because many Oppenheim people are buried there.  Though actually in the township of Stratford, it is only about 1/4 mile South from the town line of Oppenheim.  This area is known as "Middlesprite" though it crosses from Oppenheim into Stratford.  There have been many requests for this cemetery, so hopefully, this will help many.

This cemetery is divided by a lane that runs East and West.  You enter by a gate in the East Fence.  Mr. Allen's recording notes many unmarked graves.  The Free Methodist Church was torn down in the 1930's.   It has also been referred to as the  "Union Church" (!905 County Map).
