* Served as a private in Captain Jacob GARDINIER'S company (First Company) in Colonel Frederick Visscher's Regiment of Tyron County Militia (Third Regiment). *Served as a sergeant in Captain John Visscher's Company (Fourth Company) in Colonel Visscher's Regiment.

* Fought in the Battle of Oriskany on August 6, 1777.

* First Lieutenant May 14, 1768 in Captain Abraham YATES' Company in the Third Regiment of Albany County Militia.

* Appointed Captain of the First Company on August 26, 1775 in the Third Battalion of Tyron County Militia. Wounded at the Battle of Oriskany on August 6, 1777.

* Resigned as Captain on March 26, 1787 from the Montgomery County Militia regiment commanded by Lieutenant-Colonel Commandant John NEWKIRK.

Died March 17, 1803. They are buried in the Maple Avenue Cemetery, Fultonville, Montgomery County, N. Y.

* Commissioned as an Ensign on March 28, 1760 in Captain Hendrick HANSON's company in the Second Battalion of Albany County Militia.

* Second Lieutenant in Captain Barent HANSON's company in the Thrid Regiment of Albany County Militia on May 14, 1768.

* Private in 1775 in the First Company in the Third Battalion of Tyron County Militia. Wounded severely at the Battle of Oriskany on August 6, 1777.

They were married on March 1, 1781 by the Reverend Thomas ROMEYN.
They were buried in the QUACKENBOSS Family Plot at Auriesville but they were removed to the Caughnawaga Cemetery On Cemetery Street, Fonda, Montgomery County, New York.

* Appointed First Lieutenant on August 26, 1775 in Captain Jacob GARDINIER's Company (First Company) in Colonel Frederick VISSCHER's Regiment of Tryon County Militia (Third Regiment).

* Served as Lieutenant in Captain Robert Abraham YATES' Company (Third Company) and in Captain William SNOOK's Company (Fifth Company) in Colonel VISSCHER's Regiment.

* Fought in the Battle of Oriskany on August 6, 1777.

* Fought in the Battle of Johnstown on October 25, 1781.

* Appointed Captain of the Third Company in Lieutenant Colonel John NEWKIRK.

* Regiment of Montgomery County Militia in Brigadier General Frederick VISSCHER's Bridgade on October 2, 1786.

* Resigned on March 25, 1797.

* Sergeant in Captain Jacob GARDINIER's Company (First Company) in Colonel Frederick VISSCHER's Regiment of Tryon County Militia (Third Regiment).

* Served as a sergeant in Captain Hermanus MABEE's Company and as a preivate in Captain Garret PUTMAN's Company in Colonel VISSCHER's Regiment.

* Appointed in 1782 as Deputy Quartermaster in the Commissary Department at Albany with the rank of Major. 

* Fought in the Battle of Oriskany on August 6, 1777.

* Appointed Lieutenant in Captain Abraham D. QUACKENBOSS' Company (Third Company) in Lieutenant-Colonel John NEWKIRK's Regiment of Montgomery County Militia in Brigadier General Frederick VISSCHER's Brigade on October 2, 1786.

* Appointed Captain of the Third Company vice Abraham D. QUACKENBOSS in Lieutenant-Colonel Robert Abraham YATES' Regiment of Montgomery County Militia in Bridgadier General Volkert VEEDER's Bridgade on March 25, 1797.

* Resigned on April 5, 1798.

They were married in November of 1777 by the Reverend Thomas ROMEYN.
They are buried in the STARING Family Plot on the Old Hoffman Farm near St. Johnsville on road running northeast Of the East Canada Creek, Montgomery County, New York.

They are buried in the VAN EPPS-STARIN Family Plot, Fultonville, Montgomery County, New York.

* Served in Captain Jacob GARDINIER's Company (First Company) in Colonel Frederick VISSCHER's Regiment of Tryon County Militia (Third Regiment) as a private.

* Served as a private in Captain Garret PUTMAN's Company in Colonel VISSCHER's Regiment.

* Served in 1778 for nine months as a boatman in Captain Simon DEGRAFF's Company of Boatmen.

* Fought in the Battle of Oriskany on August 6, 1777.

* Fought in the Battle of Saratoga on September 19, 1777 and on October 7, 1777.
