* Resigned as Captain on March 26, 1787 from the Montgomery County Militia regiment commanded by Lieutenant-Colonel Commandant John NEWKIRK.

* Private in 1775 in the First Company in the Third Battalion of Tyron County Militia. Wounded severely at the Battle of Oriskany on August 6, 1777.
